Since she was given a Sega Genesis at the young age of 5, Abril knew that she wanted to dedicate her life to video games. Language may have been a challenge then, but she sorted it out by playing with a dictionary within reach all the time as soon as she learned how to read. That’s why when she discovered that she could earn a living working as a game translator and bringing joy to Spanish-speaking gamers around the globe, choosing her career path was a piece of cake: she took the two areas she loved the most, language and video games, and turned them into her profession!

Now, she is steadily completing the long yet wonderful quest of becoming a fantastic game localization specialist one level at a time.
Facundo has been playing video games for 25 years and translating for 5 years now. His dream job is localizing the games he would later play with his friends. Passionate about music, anime, and video games, he is a top-class nerd who thinks that days never coming back, so we have to enjoy them to the fullest. When he saw the opportunity to have fun AND localize a game at the same time, he didn’t hesitate. Surrounded by friends and fellow translators, he faced the challenge of the weekend: having a blast while participating in the LocJam. He isn’t the pretty cool guy who wrote this bio by himself at all!

As the youngest of three siblings, Sofi's love for video games was ignited by her older brothers, who immersed her into gaming from a young age. It all began with a Sega console loaded with classics, like Mortal Kombat and Sonic the Hedgehog, and passed through the PS1 until reaching her favorites: computer games such as Pokémon ROMs, Grim Fandango, the Monkey Island series and The Sims. Now, as a translator passionate about creative storytelling and immersive dialogues, Sofi is thrilled to merge her childhood love for video games with her linguistic skills to bring virtual worlds to life for Spanish-speaking gamers worldwide.
